Your Lovey Stories

Our daughter is very attached to these cheap, pink, fleece blankets that someone picked up at the grocery store. Two are identical and the third is a little different. I think there was a fourth once upon a time that we lost to the abyss.

Anyhow, my story goes like this - for about two years, she didn't know the difference, so we rotated through the blankets, always keeping one in reserve and being able to switch them out for washing. This wears them out at about the same rate so the kid doesn't notice as much of a difference if you try to replace with a brand new item.

However, at some point, the little one not only figured out the difference, even between the two identical blankets but also insisted on having all three with her. The good news is that she's happy with either of those 90% of the time and even the other one will absolutely suffice if need be.

Anyhow, the lesson we learned was to not only have back ups but to rotate them from the beginning so that they wear evenly!
